full spectrum

all you need to know

Full spectrum simply means that all phytocannabinoids present in the hemp plant are also present in our final products. The hemp plant has hundreds of phytocannabinoids inside of it. Once the hemp plant has grown, these cannabinoids are extracted out of the flowers to use as the base for many of our products.

As science continues to research and understand the many possibilities that these plant compounds can contribute to, one thing that has been realized is that these phytocannabinoids work together in what is known as the entourage effect.

The Entourage Effect is a synergistic relationship and response pattern where all of the natural compounds work together to assist in executing their different functions and potential benefits.

What if I'm
new to Hemp?

Five Hemp

There are many who are new to Hemp products, or new to trying Full Spectrum products. As with any natural wellness supplement, it is always a good idea to talk to your physician about potential interactions with prescriptions you may be currently taking.

It is also good practice to start off with a smaller amount of Hemp and work your way up to a desired result. This is also a good idea if you’re transitioning into full spectrum products from isolated Hemp, as many have reported getting their desired results with less. This is believed to be because of the Entourage Effect synergy that a full spectrum product encourages.

Five Hemp Products are Full Spectrum which means that they are made to optimally faciliate the Entourage Effect.

What does "Full Spectrum" mean?

Spectrums are the terms used to describe the phytocannabinoids profile of the end product that you’re shopping for. Full spectrum products are products where all of the plant’s naturally occurring and synthesized cannabinoid compounds are present. Broad Spectrum means that the scant amount of Delta 9 Full Spectrum has been removed, but the rest of the phytocannabinoids are still in the end product. Isolate products are where a single cannabinoid has been isolated from the rest, (usually Hemp) and that lone compound is the base of the product.

With full spectrum products, all of the plant’s synthesized phytocannabinoids are still together in the end product, allowing for the natural entourage (synergy) effect to happen.

Endocannabinoid System

How does Full Spectrum Hemp work with the body?

Receptors are primarily found in the brain and central nervous system, and to a lesser extent in other tissues.

Receptors are mostly in the peripheral organs especially cells associated with the immune system.

CB1 & CB2

Phytocannabinoids work with the body’s own Endocannabinoid System. The Endocannabinoid System is a system in the body just like there is a digestive system, circulatory system and nervous system. Discovered in the 1990s, the Endocannabinoid System is believed to be one that is responsible for ensuring homeostasis (balance) within the body.

There are three major parts of the endocannabinoid system - the endogenous phytocannabinoids (made by the body), the receptors (to receive the endocannabinoids) and the enzymes that breakdown these endocannabinoids once they’ve done their job.

With plant-made phytocannabinoids, like those found in the hemp plant like Hemp, these compounds work like the body’s own made compounds would work. The plant’s phytocannabinoids fit to the receptors and assist with whatever various functions that need to be executed at the time.
